Philly natives Nathan Purcell and Brian Jacobson have teamed up to create a project called "Smoked". They will bring the art of pipe blowing and the contemporary glass pipe movement into the light. Through the Smoked Project they will create a platform for pipe blowers to reach a broader market and connect with a more main stream audience.


We are inviting all glass pipe blowers to submit your best work. We know there are hundreds of you out there creating amazing works of art and we want to document it. We have invited an amazingly talented panel of judges to participate in an interactive multi-media discussion and critique based around the work that has been submitted. Through this discussion all selections for the book will be made. We will document this entire discussion. All selected pipes will need to be shipped to us for a photoshoot. Each selected artist will receive a full color 2 page spread.

and... EVERY ARTIST THAT ENTERS WILL RECEIVE A FREE COPY OF THE BOOK!

We will be producing an exhibit featuring all of the pipes that were selected and printed in the book. The exhibit will serve as a forum for artits, collectors, and the general public to experience the results of the "Smoked" project together. We will also help all artists sell their exhibited pipes by aggressivley marketing the event.

Our goal for this project is simple. Create an experience that focuses on the glass pipe artist and their connection to the masses.
